Competition Floors (Regionals)

For Spring 2005 Regionals only, all Cheer Teams compete on a 54 ft. wide X 42 ft. deep SPRUNG FLOOR. In 2006, select Regional competitions will use sprung floors and others will use a 54' x 42' carpet bonded foam standard cheer floor.

All Dance Teams compete on a 50 ft. wide X 36 ft. deep Marley dance floor. The floor is laid directly over the sprung cheer floor to give the dancer's preference of a sprung dance floor.

Individual Dance and Cheer Divisions

Individual divisions for Cheer and Dance will be offered at the 2005 London and Scotland Regionals. Entrants will compete in a preliminary round DURING VENUE SETUP THE DAY BEFORE THE ACTUAL COMPETITION. During the preliminary round, competitors rotate between four judges, each of whom will score specific elements of cheer and dance to obtain a list of the TOP SIX FINALISTS for each division (YOUTH, JUNIOR, AND SENIOR ONLY). The finalists for each division will perform a standard "individual" competitive routine on the actual day of the competition. Scores start clean for the top six finalists when they do their full routine, and the top six competitors from each division will automatically earn a trophy.
